1. Immigrants of Distinction Awards (IDA) awards gala:

The annual awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the BMO Centre at Stampede Park. Notably, there are two Iranian finalists: Dr. Sayeh Bayat, Biomedical assistant professor at the University of Calgary, in the “Achievements” section and Dr. Hamid Reza Zareie Rajani, Chair of Research of SAIT in the “Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)” section. Early Bird Tickets can be purchased at 157.50 CAD per person until October 7, 2024.

2. Free workshops for newcomers by Immigrant Service Calgary in October 2024:

– Information session on October 2, 2024, about visitor visas, super visas, etc.
– Information session on October 15, 2024, about Government Benefits and Pensions.
